On the previous generation Envy notebooks, we integrated a genuine walnut wood veneer into their palmrests. This introduced a warmth and tactility to the notebook that elevated the overall interaction. However, execution of the lamination had many difficulties. In addition to looking at new ways to execute wood, we also investigated alternate materials that might still meet our warmth and tactility goals.
